    Solving problems pertaining to complex title issues, boundary discrepancies, and navigating each jurisdiction’s development code to most efficiently aid your project, is our specialty. With us, you get much more than just someone to accurately take measurements of your land. You have trusted, experienced advisors and experts to assist you throughout the development of your project.     We excel at and enjoy working on ALTA surveys because we understand them. Our ALTA deliverable is simple, yet concise and comprehensive. We understand title and how it effects a piece of land. When you engage us to perform an ALTA, you are getting experts that understand the purpose, need and how the results impact that piece of real estate.

    We can perform topographic mapping of your project of any size. We utilize new, modern equipment including total stations, RTK GPS, and UAVs to collect data on your site and deliver it to you in AutoCAD, .pdf and a high resolution orthophoto (if the UAV is utilized).

Riley Pearson, RLS

Riley Pearson, RLS

Founder

A 2012 graduate of Montana Tech, Riley has been surveying since. His career began in North Dakota and Montana working on large industrial, commercial, and residential development projects, as well as regional infrastructure projects. During this time, he also gained experience in mine surveying, both on the surface and underground.

In 2018 Riley relocated to Arizona, and he took a position in the land department at one of the regions’ largest electric utilities, where he would permit projects, negotiate easements and rights-of-way, and assist with fee title land acquisitions, while planning for and siting future transmission opportunities.

In 2020, ALS was founded and steadily grew into what it is becoming today. In the Fall of 2022, Riley left his role with the utility to focus solely on serving his clients.

Riley is licensed to practice land surveying in the State of Arizona and holds a FAA Part 107 sUAV license and has completed senior level course work through the International Right of Way Association (IRWA).

Jason O’Brien, RLS

Jason has been in the business of civil engineering and land surveying since 1996. He began working in construction drilling and blasting and eventually becoming a superintendent for subdivision infrastructure construction.

In addition, Jason managed many survey crews, office, and field inspection personnel, as well as working on commercial and residential plans, and was also a survey engineer manager for large scale US Army Corps of Engineers projects.

Jason had been licensed since 2007 and is a registered land surveyor in both Arizona and Nevada, and holds a FAA Part 107 sUAV license.

Steve Rude, RLS

Steve graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Construction Engineering.  After serving as a US Air Force officer, he began a career in land surveying and is now licensed in North Dakota, Montana, and Utah, and is a Certified Federal Surveyor (CFedS). 

Steve's surveying and project management experience includes master planning, platting, and construction of some of the nation's most exclusive resort communities, such as the Yellowstone Club, Big Sky Mountain Resort, and Spanish Peaks Resort in Gallatin County, Montana.  He has also worked on large commercial and residential subdivisions such as The Crossings at Watford City, Fox Hills, West Ridge in North Dakota, Havasu Riviera, and Havasu Foothills in Arizona.  Additionally, Steve has conducted and managed surveys ranging from small rural parcels, to land title surveys for commercial development, to cross-country utility rights of way such as Western Area Water Supply and the Red River Valley Water Supply Project.
